This document outlines the policy of Nacalmo Co., Ltd. (referred to in this document as “we”, “us”, or “our”) on the handling of user-related information acquired through the smartphone applications, software services, and various services provided on our website (including our iOS app 'DataPocket' and its 'WebLink' service).
We place the utmost importance on protecting user privacy and, as a general rule, do not actively collect or store personal information (personally identifiable information). However, we may collect user-related information such as account information necessary for user authentication, device identifiers required for preventing unauthorized use, usage data for the maintenance and improvement of our services, demographic information used for service planning, development, promotion, and improvement, and personal data included in inquiries submitted through forms. Any data that may include legally defined personal information will only be used to the minimum extent necessary for purposes such as providing the requested service or responding to inquiries, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not engage in joint use of personal information. Other user-related information is also not jointly used with third parties.
If we outsource operations involving personal information, we will impose appropriate data management obligations on the contractor and ensure proper handling under their management.
We will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user.
User-related information will be retained for one year after the termination of the service, for the purpose of responding to post-service inquiries.
We will only use personal data for purposes with a legitimate legal basis. We respect users’ rights to request disclosure, correction, deletion, restriction of use, data portability, objection to profiling, exclusion from automated decision-making, and the right to file complaints or objections, and strive to protect user privacy.
To prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information, we implement the following security measures:
1. Establishment of rules and basic policies for handling personal information, including this policy
2. Clarification of procedures for collection, use, storage, provision, deletion, and disposal
3. Enforcement of physical security measures to prevent theft at data storage locations
4. Education and awareness through training on personal information protection, including relevant laws
5. Establishment of reporting procedures when an incident is recognized
6. Implementation of technical measures to protect data from unauthorized access or malicious software
User-related information held by us may be accessed from our servers across national borders, depending on the user’s location when using our services. In principle, such data is stored in Japan, where our company is based. Currently, we do not transfer data to or receive data from other administrators. If future international data transfers become necessary, we will comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding cross-border transfers of personal data.
Our website and online services may use cookies and other technologies (such as web beacons) to maintain sessions and for other purposes. At present, these technologies are limited to those essential for providing specific requested features or services. If we intend to use cookies for other purposes, such as identifying user behavior, we will allow users to make selections via banners or other means regarding the scope of data collected.
For requests concerning disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law, we will verify the identity of the user and respond without delay. Our app 'DataPocket (DataPocket Viewer)' and any associated services including WebLink service are developed and provided as an experimental tool aimed at exploring and sharing the most effective utilization approach of digital data. Please understand that there may still be some bugs or issues present. Use of this service is permitted only for those who agree to the condition that our company shall not be held liable for any damages arising from its use.
